March 13, 2020

Dear All,

We understand that the last few weeks have been difficult on everyone both financially, emotionally and physically. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the individuals and families that have been affected by Coronavirus throughout the world.

Through careful thought and planning I have decided that myself and my staff will be working remotely whenever possible starting Monday, March 16th. The decision was made to protect the health of our team, clients and to prevent spreading a virus throughout our entire group.

We also will no longer be taking in-person meetings nor drop-ins to the office until April 15th. If you need to drop paperwork off to the office, we ask that you either mail it to us, scan and email it, or upload via our website basaltcpa.com. All meetings will be done via the phone. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We are doing everything possible to get your tax returns done in a timely manner and with minimal disruption. If you have paperwork that needs to be picked up, we will store it in the office and you can pick up in mid-April or we will mail it to you upon request.

This is a constantly evolving situation and we will update you all in April of our plans in reopening the office to in-person visits. Thank you for your patience and understanding in these challenging times. Stay healthy and don’t hesitate to call or email if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Brian Smith, CPA
